About Bodhi

At the core, Bodhi is a consciousness teacher specializing in coaching CEOs, executives, and entrepreneurs in conscious leadership. He also facilitates sacred living events, as well as writes & records songs that nurture awakening and transformation.

My fascination with spirituality, esoteric truth and mysticism was there from the start. I can remember knowing as early as the age of seven that things were different than they appeared. My sister, Lori, introduced me to meditation at the age of 16.

I met my first consciousness teacher, a medicine woman, Greer Greyoak Glass, at the age of 23, and she guided me weekly in the mystic arts and deepening my awareness. Six years later, she introduced me to her teacher (and future husband), Gary Altrichter, with whom I then studied with for another 15 years.

In May of 2000, I was on the phone doing a session with Gary. Like always, he suggested that I tune in more deeply to get clarity about the underlying nature of a particular issue I was addressing that had to do with being upset about perceiving that someone had "wrongly judged me."

I closed my eyes and dropped into stillness as I had been trained to do so long, long ago, but instead of seeing or recognizing what really needed to be worked with, there was just silence and a pitch black darkness in my mind's eye. Unusual for me. Surprised and curious, I just allowed the experience.

Suddenly, straight ahead of me in the blackness, a hole opened up and a spear came flying in my direction, stopping right in front of my 3rd eye, shocking me. The next instant, another hole opened up and another spear flew right at me. Over and over, dozens of spears all flew forth, stopping right in front of me.

It's such a cliche, but my life then flashed before my eyes and I saw a multitude of experiences where I reactively and unwisely based my choices and actions on a belief that I was under attack — every situation leading to pain and suffering.

I was stunned by not only how the course of my life was so impactfully shaped by that theme, but also that even after years of therapy and decades of consciousness work, I hadn't realized just how much that distorted fictitious lens was interwoven into the fabric of my persona.

Suddenly, the horror of the realization shifted into incredulity that anyone could live their life so fully based on a lie. My body started vibrating intensely and I burst into laughter. It was one of those uncontrollable laughs that just keeps going. Every time I tried to calm down a new insight would arise and more intense laughter would erupt. It lasted for 45 minutes. When the waves of laughter finally subsided I asked Gary, who was still on the phone, "What the hell was that?" His reply was, "Just be with it. I'll talk with you next week." Click.

Everything had changed. Colors appeared more vibrant. Sensations of sound and touch were intensified. There was a total dissolving away of the veil of illusion under which I had lived. The mental noise of compulsive thinking stopped. In its place was stillness, a buoyant sense of aliveness, peace, joy — an experience of being one with all life — and I was flooded with an overwhelming sense of compassion for myself and the world. Grace has allowed this state to sustain itself.

Coincidentally, I spent the next two days with Eckhart Tolle and the awakening deepened further. Another story for another time.

Life has been so very good to me — bringing me together with a most wonderful woman, Ginseng. She too, has incredible depth, and our days are filled with joy. I have always been passionate about music. Growing up in New York, I learned multiple instruments as a child (violin, trumpet, piano, guitar) and formed my first band in high school, Bacchus, in which I was guitarist and a lead singer. Throughout my college years I played acoustic gigs in clubs, becoming a prolific songwriter. A punk band in Tucson and my new wave band in Phoenix were stepping stones to finding my way to Los Angeles where my pop-reggae bands performed, recorded, and got airplay. As of late 2026, I'm in the process of releasing my 5th album, this one, Mantras in Kingston, features sacred mantras recorded with reggae legends from Soul Syndicate. Private sessions are available to CEOs, entrepreneours and executives, as well as individuals, parents, couples and creatives. Sessions are held via phone or Zoom. He also facilitates events, workshops, and retreats worldwide.
